Project Description

SBCAG is updating its Public Participation Plan, which guides how SBCAG informs, engages and gathers input from the public during regional transportation planning, programming and project-related activities.

The Plan describes SBCAG’s approach to public participation, including principles for engagement, tools and strategies for reaching communities, language access and accessibility considerations, and ways to evaluate whether engagement is working.

The updated Plan will replace the current Public Participation Plan and provide a practical framework for future engagement across SBCAG programs, plans, and projects.

Public Participation

Public input is part of developing the Plan itself. SBCAG is seeking feedback on how people want to receive information, participate in transportation decisions and hear back about how their input was considered.

There will be several ways to participate during development of the Plan, including an online survey, stakeholder meeting, public hearing, and opportunities to comment on the draft Plan.
