The project will help improve local streets and highways, consistent with the City of Guadalupe’s circulation element, including widening roads, installing traffic signals, improving bicycle and pedestrian safety, and improving intersections.

These are the limits for the Caltrans project, the limits for the improvements to be funded by the City of Guadalupe are from Highway 1 to Flower Street within the city limits. Implement pavement preservation along Highway 166 from Highway 1 intersection in Guadalupe to the Highway 101 Intersection in the City of Santa Maria, improvements to signage, TMS and curb ramp rehabilitation for ADA compliance, signalizing two intersections along Highway 166 at Highway 1 and Obispo Street in Guadalupe and constructing pedestrian and bicycle facilities.
