Draft 2027 Federal Transportation Improvement Program (FTIP) Released for Public Review

Public review of the draft 2027 Federal Transportation Improvement Program (FTIP) begins August 5, and includes an in-person hearing on August 20.

The draft 2027 FTIP programs approximately $677 million in federal transportation investments over the next four years, supporting highway, transit, bicycle, pedestrian and other multimodal projects throughout Santa Barbara County. It also reflects SBCAG’s ongoing partnership with local jurisdictions, transit operators and Caltrans to deliver federally funded transportation investments throughout the county. The public is encouraged to review the draft and provide comments through Sept. 4.

Details on how to participate remotely will be published on the SBCAG Board of Directors agenda at least 48 hours prior to the meeting.

Public Comment

The public comment period begins August 5, 2026. Comments on the FTIP can be submitted to SBCAG at the public hearing and/or in writing until 4 p.m. on Friday, September 4, 2026.

Written comments can be submitted via U.S. Postal Service to SBCAG at 260 North San Antonio Road, Suite B, Santa Barbara, CA 93110; or electronically by emailing info@sbcag.org.

A copy of the draft 2027 FTIP can be viewed online, or in-person Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at SBCAG offices by appointment, please call (805) 600-4477 to schedule.
