The project will improve local streets and highways, consistent with the City of Buellton\u2019s circulation element, including median improvements, widening roads, installing traffic signals, improving bicycle and pedestrian safety, park and ride lots, and improving intersections.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
(Project 1) State Route 246 Streetscape Project – This project was complete in 2012. The project included improvements along Highway 246 between Palm Way and the Avenue of Flags including raised medians west of the Avenue of Flags, improved sidewalks, handicap ramps and intersection crosswalks with block pavers enhancement, street lighting and landscape and irrigation improvements, as well as park benches.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
(Project 2) McMurray Road Improvement Project – The Project location is at the intersection of Highway 246 and McMurray Road, with appurtenant improvements within 100 feet. The Project includes widening of the north leg of McMurray Road at Highway 246 with additional traffic signal improvements. The project also includes road, sidewalk and curb, and gutter and driveway improvements as well as utility relocations and appurtenant work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The City and SBCAG anticipate additional projects to use these remaining funds for subsequent phases of the circulation project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
